The new age of percussive arts has arrived! CHOPS is a multi-discipline, artistic drumming competition created to highlight expression and creative artistry within the bounds of the highly technical requirements of rudimental percussion. Rewarded for their artistic stylings, winners are showered with cash prizes, armloads of swag and unique opportunities to join AEP and BD on their creative journeys around the world.
This series of solo and small group nationwide drum competitions searches for uniquely talented artists with extraordinary chops! Soloists (snares) and groups of 2 to 4 (mixed ensembles/mixed ages, tenors and snares)go head to head in elimination rounds to win thousands in cash prize money, and mucho swag. Events will include competition rounds judged by celebrity guests, showcase performances and inspirational Q&A with the superstars of CHOPS. Don't miss it!
